Give It Love

Inspiration to write a post can come from just about anywhere or from anyone. Not too long ago I was talking to my cousin and she was telling me about some of the challenges life is throwing at her and how she read in a book to, “Give it love.” I kept that thought in the back of my mind and recently I have had this overwhelming urge to write about the higher vibration of love and how it can completely transform our lives. I’ve also been receiving several messages by way of my pendulum telling me how much I am loved by God and the angels. It seems that the message I am receiving at this time, for the greater good of the entire planet, is to inspire love in each of you.

As individuals we all face our own set of troubles in life and as a collective whole the human race is being presented with an enormous amount of dilemmas that seem to only be getting worse with each passing day. At times we may look at our lives and the issues we face as a planet and feel a sense of hopelessness, especially if we let ourselves slip into those lower vibrations of fear and despair. Feelings of defeat and helplessness will certainly permeate into our lives if we allow ourselves to believe that there is no answer. I’m here to tell you that there is an answer and it is love.

Could it really be that simple? Was John Lennon’s song, “All You Need is Love” truly the message we should take to heart for any and all situations, whether desirable or undesirable? First, let’s get an idea of what love is so we can all be on the same page. Love is not a foreign concept by any means and I am willing to bet that each of you has your own meaning of what love is. However, I don’t want to try and preach my definition to you but for the sake of this post I would like to share with you what I feel to be the superlative explanation of love. I learned of this explanation in the bible when I was immersed in religion and have held onto it even though I no longer hold onto those religious beliefs. It comes from 1 Corinthians 13:4-8, “Love is patient, love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud. 5 It does not dishonor others, it is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs. 6 Love does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth. 7 It always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres. 8 Love never fails…” (NIV)

Whether you choose to use my preferred definition of love or you have your own explanation that works for you the importance is that we find a way to raise our vibrations to that of love. The problem, however, is that we tend to let ourselves be influenced by the people around us as well as individual issues within our lives. We can also succumb to the negativity of worldwide crises and end up falling into those denser energy vibrations where we reside and continue to attract more of the same. Being a beacon of light in an ever increasing worldwide storm can be rather daunting, but it is my belief that in order for there to be hope both for us as individuals and for humanity that it all starts with each of us. My solution to changing to a higher vibration of love was all about changing my mindset. Only you can change the way you think and feel. You each have a choice as to how you will let any outside influence make you feel. Being surrounded by negative people and situations isn’t easy, believe me, I know. It takes courage and a sense of consciously being aware that our creator is absolute love.

Whatever problems we face or fears we have, “Give it love” each and every day. Make no mistake, first and foremost it is a battle of the mind, if you accept that you have the ability and power to choose love you will start to witness the beauty that life truly has to offer. Once you shift your vibrations from that of the lower densities, where fear and anguish reside, to the higher energy vibrations of love, you will feel the strength and power of your shield of love and light. If you make it a habit to wear your shield every waking minute of the day, not only will you experience the joy that was meant for you, but you will also be aiding in shifting our planet out of the darkness into which it appears to be heading. There is a song that fits beautifully with this message of love and I would like to end this post with one of the lyrics from that song.

And when you feel afraid
(Love one another)
When you’ve lost your way
(Love one another)
And when you’re all alone
(Love one another)
And when you’re far from home
(Love one another)
And when you’re down and out
(Love one another)
And when your hopes run out
(Love one another)
And when you need a friend
(Love one another)
And when you’re near the end
(Love)
(We’ve got to love)
(We’ve got to love one another)

Love is the answer my friends.

    Hi, Todd!
I thought love doesn’t have definition until I saw now the explanation from the Corinthians. It is true-love never fails.
I believe if we are led by love, rather than just passion, we can move mountains ahead of us. It is an everlasting inspiration and probably the only thing worth fighting for.

    Todd,
I do believe that when we can sustain a level of vibration that is love than our outer-world can only reflect back to us love.

    As above, so below.

      Hi Justin,

Imagine what the world would be like if everyone was able to sustain that vibration of love. However, I don’t believe that would ever happen and I plan to write a post about that but it still doesn’t mean we shouldn’t try.

This was beautiful Todd. I read the whole post with a smile on my face. :)

The vibration of love is so healing. It’s amazing how quickly we can feel better when we focus on love. The thing I’d like to add is that you don’t have to love the things that’s making you feel bad in order to feel better. If a world crisis is getting you down, go focus on something you already love and then come back later and send some love to the world, from that better feeling place. I truly believe that we can heal the world with love (actually, I think we are doing it.)

    Hugs to you!

      Hi Melody,

I agree, we don’t have to love something that we don’t want to. I just believe if we approach it with a loving attitude instead of slipping into the negative vibrations then we will be better off. Thanks again for your inspiring comments.

So true, so true. The lyrics are wonderful. With every challenge, whatever it is, the answer is to love one another. And that is a beautiful passage from the Bible. Regardless of our faith beliefs or lack thereof, there is much beauty in the Bible, so I’m glad you shared it.

PS–Every time I see your blog title in one of your comments, I chuckle. I think that is an absolutely inspired blog title! Really one of my favorites.

    Great work as always.

I’ve noticed that those overwhelming feelings you mentioned often come to those who are lacking love at the time.

Sometimes I don’t realize how much I’m loved until I lose it or am away from those that love me for an extended period of time.

I’m thankful for the excellent way you covered this topic.

      Hi Andrew,

I guess we all lack love at times. It takes action on our part to give love when we are tempted to respond negatively to certain situations.

    Hi Todd,

The Corinthian’s verse that describes love resonate with me a lot. Whenever I get confused about what love is, I always go back to that verse for encouragement. Thank you for your encouragement and words to all of us as well. I believe that learning to love is unfolding for us all the time. I have learnt about loving myself a lot lately. That has also given me great capacity to love others especially my wife and children.

Thanks for your kind words. I’ll admit that giving love isn’t always as easy as it sounds but it gives us something to strive for. I also enjoy that passage from Corinthians it is simple and to the point.

Love conquers all. When we spread love, everything would be better. In the book of Corinthians, it talks all about love and I love reading on that chapter always. This is the greatest commandment. Let us spread the love of God.

Todd – first of all, awesome post. Really enjoyed what you had to say. Second, what do you think about the idea that love can not exist without hate? More broadly, can good exist without evil? I’m looking forward to your response.

      Hi Daniel,

Thanks for the comment. I don’t believe good can exist without evil, at least in this physical dimension where we reside now. I think we need to experience the negativity/evil in this world so we can grow spiritually. As for the spiritual realms/dimensions I would think that there would just be parts where hate/evil cannot exist and lower denser vibrational realms where it can. Of course, this is all just speculation on my part.
