In my first post, “Manifesting Your Desires,” regarding the law of attraction I attempted to give a brief explanation of how everything in the universe is made up of energy and how this energy applies to the law of attraction. I also stressed how vital our feelings and emotions are to being the key to manifesting our desires. Since the publication of that article I have accepted that the LOA is genuine without really trying to wrap my mind around the details of how it all works. How exactly does feeling that our desire has already happened translate into that desire manifesting into our lives? In essence, what is the science behind the law of attraction?
I have an inquisitive mind and I have never been satisfied with just accepting that something works without an explanation of how. However, what I am writing here is not a definitive answer or claim to know how the law of attraction works, but merely what I have researched and what resonates within me. In the field of Quantum Physics there is a generally accepted theory, “String Theory” that says all matter is nothing more than vibrating stings of energy. We know that atoms are the basic building blocks of all matter; string theory basically says that atoms at the core are nothing more than these strings of energy vibrating at a certain frequency. So what this means is that you, me, your dog, my cat, plants, water, the air, the earth, essentially everything in the universe is nothing more than vibrating strings of energy at the most basic component. Ok, you might be thinking that sounds cool, but how does that apply to attracting our desires?
If you have studied about the law of attraction more than likely you have read that, “like attracts like.” For those of us who believe in the LOA we often say what energy we send out to the universe is what we attract back to us. But do our thoughts and feelings create energy that actually leaves our bodies? This question is what had me stumped for some time until I was doing some research and came across an article from back in 2009 about the invention of a robot by Honda that can be controlled by the mind. This invention allows a person to wear a special sensor-equipped type of head gear that allows the individual to think a thought and control the robot. Consider this quote from the article, “Electrodes inside the skullcap detect your intention and transmit the mental data to Honda’s Asimo robot, which makes the movement for you.” What this means for the sake of this post is that our thoughts/intentions can be measured outside of the skull, utterly proving that our thoughts aren’t just contained within our brains, but actually leave the head as some form of energy that can be measured.
After reading that article about the Honda robot I was pretty convinced about thoughts/intentions being made up of energy. However, we all know that just thinking something doesn’t make it happen. I can think all day long about winning the lottery and never see that winning ticket. Now you might be wondering if thinking about a desire won’t manifest it into your life, what will? Have you ever heard the phrase, “we feel from the heart?” If you have ever been bitten by the love bug, or conversely, had your heart broken, where do you feel it at? I just recently watched a video by Greg Braden and he was talking about our hearts being the center for how we are linked to what he calls the “Divine Matrix.”
“Our hearts are the strongest bio-electrical and magnetic field generators in our bodies; our hearts generate stronger electrical fields than our brains. They generate stronger magnetic fields than our brains, our hearts are five thousand times as powerful magnetically than our brains and we hear about EKGs of our hearts, they’re up to a hundred times stronger than the EEG, the electrical information of our brains. So when we create thoughts, feelings emotions, beliefs, compassion, prayers of forgiveness, in our hearts that’s the words that we call those experiences but to the field what we’re doing is we’re creating electrical and magnetic waves in here that are now known to change the stuff out here and in that way we are linked.” Greg Braden The Divine Matrix
What he is saying in his video is that the power of creation comes from the heart, not our brains. And this my friends is the secret behind the law of attraction; we must do more than just think about our desires we must feel that those desires have already come to fruition. So if Honda made a cap that proves our thoughts are made of energy that can be measured outside the head and from the information provided by Greg Braden, we can logically conclude that our hearts send out feelings as energy that attract back to us what we are sending out. The key to manifestation is feeling from the heart not thinking with the mind.
