Buyer Beware

Many of us may not take much notice of the toxins and chemicals that we are exposed to on a daily basis. After I met my friend, she opened my eyes to many chemicals that I was putting into my body and not even aware of the dangers. The items I am listing below have been very controversial over the last few years, however were considered safe. Unfortunately, the dangers have been preached by many concerned people and organizations but were ignored as conspiracy ramblings by fear mongers. Until now. Recently these dangers have been gaining the attention of the mainstream media. I hope you will take the time to read the article on Before Its News and open your eyes to what you and your family are being exposed to.

  • Fluoride
  • Genetically Modified Organisms (GMOs) Corn, Soybeans, Canola etc.
  • Bisphenol -A (BPA) Found in plastic products
  • Tap Water
  • Prescription Drugs

FDA and other companies are telling everyone that the chemicals you listed are okay and will not harm them. If you research the water we drink, the foods that we consume the over the counter drugs our Doctors tell us are safe……We have to open our eye’s and be our own Advocates when it comes to the heath of our families and our own body. It’s a known fact that the things we put in are on our bodies make up our cells. Going back to, you are what you eat.

If your still not accepting it, then I would challenge anyone to try and change their diet, drink clean purifies water and stop taking drugs; as long as your not on something that you can’t do without, like heart medication.

Tap water is supposed to be safe, but it doesn’t surprise me that it’s not. I saw on the news where one state (I think it was Minnesota?) has a large area where the tap water contains more arsenic than what the EPA allows. Now how can those water companies get away with that? They did a study and those people who reside in that area are more susceptible to strokes than people in areas with lesser arsenic amounts.

And I have not read much encouraging data on the quality of bottled water either. I saw an online study where they rated the different types of bottled water, like Dasani and Evian, and the results weren’t great. If you want to see the results of the study, as well as which bottled waters to avoid, copy and paste the link below:

As for prescription meds, I see commercials all the time from law firms suing the drug companies because their medication caused death or some other terrible outcome. For example, just because some lab rat doesn’t show any adverse effects from exposure to Seroquel doesn’t mean it’s safe for human consumption. There have been many lawsuits filed recently against manufacturer AstraZeneca. The FDA has requested that they list the dangers of Seroquel on the packaging, which so far has only been done in Japan. The drug manufacturers want patients to believe that they care about our well-being, but the bottom line is that they are more concerned with making money than with our health. Big surprise! Imagine that – big corporations concerned only with the almighty dollar. That’s capitalism for ya.

Yesterday on “Who Wants to be A Millionaire”, the answer to one of the questions was that the American Cancer Society now says that re-using plastic water bottles is not as bad as they had thought. Although I think it’s still harmful to leave them in the heat (like in a car in the summer), and then drink out of them.

There is a company whose products you might want to check into. It’s called “Organo Gold”. They sell coffees, tea, hot chocolate, soaps, and supplements with ganoderma, which comes from the reishi mushroom. There are supposed to be all sorts of health benefits in ganoderma – from lowering blood pressure to making your skin more youthful. If you’re interested just google it. However, on the flip side there are websites by those who claim it’s all a scam. I’m reserving judgement until I see for myself. I’m going to try the coffee they call “King of Coffee”, and see how it works. I figure I should know by the time I’m finished with the box. Mom is trying the tea. I will post our findings.
